Why Manis?

Admit it. We all love getting free stuff. Whether it is in the form of cash vouchers, umbrellas or branded merchandises. We also love shopping, hanging out with our friends and family at our favourite eateries or just grabbing loads of snacks from the supermarket to binge-watch our favourite TV series.

So what if I told you that you could get rewarded just by shopping and eating out as you usually do?

Introducing the Manis App.

Why Manis? Because they make shopping even more sweeter than it already is!

Manis is a unique loyalty point app where you can earn and spend points at your favourite places. You simply track your spending by snapping your receipts and earning tons of rewards and free stuff! We have a habit of tossing away receipts, so think of all the points you could have gotten! I am so glad that I found out about the Manis app when they first launched the app. Rewards galore!!

How It Works
Once you have a receipt, search for the merchant on the manis app by clicking on the red dollar icon at the bottom.

If you cannot find the merchant you are looking for, you can click on the bar at the bottom and manually enter the details of the merchant.

Which will look like this.

If you have already found the merchant, all you need to do is key in the total amount that you spent and snap a photo of the receipt. You would then need to align the green box along the edges of your receipt and crop it. And just submit. It's that simple.

There is a verification period and it might take some time before your receipt is approved, but it usually just takes about a day or two. You can even get triple the points from selected merchants. So be sure to have a look at which merchants will offer triple points.

Redeeming Points
Once you have earned sufficient points, you can redeem e-vouchers in the rewards section. The rewards can change once in a while so don't fret if you don't see anything you like yet. So far I have redeemed H&M Gift Cards and some supermarket vouchers. Really hoping to redeem some more.

Basically, you earn 1 point for every RM1 that you spend.

The app also allows you to track your spending by letting you know how much you are spending each month and where your spending goes to (food; retail; health). Don't judge me on how much I have spent. TT_TT

Of course, there are some receipts that are not eligible.
  1. Monthly Utility Bills (Electricity, Water, Phone, Satelite Television Subscription, Internet Subscription, Insurance, Education Fees, any form of Subscription Fees, Government-Related Services and Etc.)
  2. Postage Bills (Pos Laju, GDex, DHL, Fedex and Etc.)
  3. Clinic and Hospital bills
  4. Bills that bear Touch-N-Go
  5. Prepaid Topups Slips
  6. Online Shopping
  7. Handwritten Receipts
For the whole list, you can check their Terms & Conditions.

Be sure to hit them up on Facebook or Instagram for the latest updates and giveaway because they have loads of giveaways and contests that you can join!

You can download the Manis app from the App Store or Google Play Store.

So what are you waiting for? Get Manis and get snapping now!

Shakeaway is finally in Malaysia!

Prepare your taste buds for some amazing milkshakes! Shakeaway is now at The Curve, Mutiara Damansara! Shakeaway is the world's largest milkshake bar company and the original re-inventor of the milkshake since 1999, born in the UK. They have an amazing menu of over 180 different fantastic ingredients like M&Ms, Kit Kat, Oreo cookies, strawberries, nutella, tiramisu cheesecake and luxury chocolate lindt.

I was lucky enough to receive a pre-opening invite and it was a delicious experience.

I love the cake that they had! Just look at that pose!

The mascot is so cute. And we match!

Shakeaway offers various types ranging from something refreshing and healthy or something sweet and indulgent. They also offer a fit and healthy range of milkshake made from fat free yoghurt and lower calorie ingredients.

The most popular milkshake is the "Dave" (yes, the milkshakes are named after people but too bad they didn't have "Amanda") which is made with Ferrero Rocher, Kinder Bueno, and a Cadbury's Flake. Now you can't tell me that THAT did not sound amazing. It was so rich in chocolate and guess what. You can drink it hot too!

Kierra - strawberry cheesecake & oreo cookie topped with marshmallows. I also tried a milkshake called "Heather" which has blueberries and banana with whipped cream on top and it was super refreshing.

Frozen yoghurt with raspberries, blueberries and strawberries.

Shaved ice with mango and topped with blueberries.

They even have fries too. It's cooked in under 2 minutes with no deep frying.

If you want to try the ultimate luxury milkshake, there's also the "Millionaire's Milkshake". It has lindt 85% dark chocolate, roasted hazelnuts topped with whipped cream & real 23 carat edible gold flakes. Sounds amazing right? But be prepared with RM58.80 though.

The t-shirts that the staff wear are pretty cool. While you're waiting for your order, you can try reading the back of the shirts.

In celebration of their Grand Opening, Shakeaway is giving a FREE MILKSHAKE to the first 50 customers TODAY (16th September 2016) and 12 noon!

Grab & Hotlink Brings Pokemon Trainers The PokeMobile!

So Pokemon Go finally launched in Malaysia on Saturday morning and I was so darn excited that I had to download the game, scramble out of bed to wash up and run out of the house to catch my first Pokemon!

But before the game even launched, I saw snippets of something that Grab and Hotlink were brewing up for the launch of Pokemon Go. A PokeMobile with the wings and flaming tail of a Charizard! How crazy is that? Although it would probably have look cooler if the wings were bigger, but no complaints here.

In order to get the PokeMobile, I basically had to log into the Grab App, select the PokeMobile Icon, and enter all the usual details to attempt to book the ride. Much to my surprise, I actually got the PokeMobile! My Sunday morning started out with a fiery bang! I started my Pokemon journey in style. It was so cool to see it drive up to my driveway. O(≧∇≦)O

You can watch their promotional video here.

Snapped a few photos with the car and props that they had. Couldn't resist having my Pikachu plushie on my head to accompany me on my journey.

Had a really fun time in the car talking about Pokemon and exchanging tips on where to catch Pokemon.

If you manage to get the PokeMobile and are a Hotlink customer, you can get US$100 (RM405) worth of PokeCoins via Hotlink Cash Online. And that's not an insignificant sum! Lord knows I needed it because I ran out of inventory space and my Pokemon Box was full even before lunch time!

If you didn't manage to get the PokeMobile, don't worry! I've been told that Hotlink customers can also enjoy 10% discounts off Pokecoins too!

I got the PokeMobile to drop me off at KLCC, where I heard there were lots of rare Pokemon. I actually caught a Dratini!

So sad to see the PokeMobile leaving. *sobs*

If you want to try your luck in getting the PokeMobile, you only have 8th August 2016 left. The promo period is from 10am - 7pm so get your phones ready. The catch is there are only four PokeMobiles so have your fingers crossed that you're the lucky trainer!

You can find out more about the PokeMobile from Grab and Hotlink's websites.

Don't worry if you didn't get the free ride, Grab will also be giving out FREE rides up to RM5 per ride (meaning maximum discount of RM5) for 2 rides from August 8th - 15th 2016. All you need to do is key in the promocode GRABPOKEMON.

Bonkers For Tonymoly's Panda's Dream Series

OH..... MY...... GOD!!!  (((o(*゚▽゚*)o)))  Tonymoly just launched their Panda's Dream series and I am completely bonkers about it! The design is just so adorable! The urge to buy the whole set is sooooooo very tempting.

The first one to catch my eye was the Panda's Dream Dual Lip and Cheek. It's basically a smart dual lip and cheek in one! You can use it on your lips, cheeks and even your eyelids! They have two different colours, orange and pink, and they both have a darker and more vivid colour as well as a lighter shade. And you can't tell me that the cover itself isn't one of the cutest panda designed products ever. Look at those hearts on the cheeks! ♡(ŐωŐ人)
Retail Price : RM45.90

There's also sort of a mini version, the Panda's Dream Pocket Lip Balm. It's a smaller-than-palm pocket lip balm that has great moisturizing properties! This mighty cute little panda pocket balm provides moisture to dry flaky lips. It can also provide vitality to your lips with it's strong pink color. And I mean, really strong. Just look at it. You can also attach this little cutie pie on your handbag or pouch with the attached loop!
Retail Price : 32.90

There's also the Panda's Dream Smudge Out Mascara. No more smudging mascaras! I know pandas are cute but we don't want to have smudges around our eyes, now do we? It's also supposed to keep the eye lashes looking defined and fresh all day long!
Retail Price : 45.90

The Panda's Dream Glossy Lip Crayon has some great attention grabbing colours for you to choose from. It provides moisture and radiant to the lips which will give you some very attractive lips. The pencil type lip crayon should be very convenient, easy to keep and easy to use. Definitely a plus for me.
Retail Price : 39.90

I have never tried contouring, but with the Panda's Dream Contour Stick, I just might. These highlighter and contour sticks provide shading and contouring effects to flat round faces. If you want to create perfect facial lines, just do some simple highlighting and shading on parts of your face!
Retail Price : RM45.90

The Panda's Dream Clear Pact looks cute too. This tone-up pact has sebum control properties and it's light and thin formula does not make your skin feel stuffy. I'm liking it already. The bright colour powder improves skin tone and also smoothens your skin texture without forming creases. Although you might need to test out the shade on your skin colour.
Retail Price : RM49.90

If you're already looking like a panda with those dark circles under your eyes, you might want to give the Panda's Dream Cool Eye Stick and Brightening Eye Base a try. I am currently using the Cool Eye Stick which gives you a cool and refreshing feeling. My eyes feel more moisturised and less tired after application. It's not sticky at all and the dark circles does lighten a tad bit. But if you really have a big problem with dark circles, then you should try the Brightening Eye Base which is supposed to cover blemishes and darkness under your eyes.
Retail Price: RM50.90

I think that the Panda's Dream White Magic Hand Cream is the first of the panda series that came out a few years ago. I first saw it during my trip to South Korea and I just had to buy it right then and there. It contains manuka honey that provides hydration and nutrition to the skin. Smells quite nice actually. And it's supposed to transform dull and greyish panda hands to smooth white hands. I am already super pale so I can't really tell if my hands have gotten paler.
Retail Price : RM36.90

The Panda's Dream White Sleeping Pack looks really convenient. It provides moisturising and whitening properties to make skin soft, hydrated and luminous by different kinds of berries and herbs while sleeping. I can have healthy skin while sleeping. That's the dream!
Retail Price : RM61.90

Overall, I think that they are pretty pricey. Although I won't deny that I really like the Cool Eye Stick a lot. If there's a sale at Tonymoly's, I might just consider buying the whole set to try them out and to add to my endlessly growing panda collection.

You can find out more about these products and tips on how to use them on the Tonymoly website.
