My Ultimate Gastronomic Adventure with Paddington House of Pancakes

So this post is long overdue. Like a few months but better late than never right? Hehe... So I joined a contest on Facebook called 'Ultimate Gastronomic Adventure' hosted by Paddington House of Pancakes (PHOP). I won the consolation prize which was an exclusive chef-designed set dinner for two, worth over RM150.

I brought my brother along with me to enjoy this treat at The Curve outlet. And we never expected our table to have so much food piled up. Basically, we were overwhelmed by waffles.

Coincidentally, it was also Waffle Day at PHOP. Which meant that they had a new different menu which only had dishes made up of waffles instead of pancakes. It was nice that they came up with something new, but they probably shouldn't have taken away the pancakes for the day. I saw so many children who came to have pancakes and became distressed that there were not going to be any pancakes that day. It was kind of funny. I guess that goes to show how good the pancakes are at PHOP.

Voila~ The menu for this gastronomic adventure.  (^∇^)

 Stonehenge
~ House smoked salmon with fresh asparagus, sundried tomatoes, chilli cream sauce, sour cream, mesclun salad & basted egg on Brussels waffles ~

Nottingham
~ Grilled chicken & mushroom spaghetti with chipotle cream sauce ~

Leaning Tower of Pisa
~ Outrageously crunchy & delicious friend chicken, served on a mass of savoury waffles, griddled mashed potato, watermelon, a shower of fried leek & our secret homemade hot sauce ~

Triple X
~ Fresh strawberries, choco sauce & whipped cream on Brussels waffels ~

Doesn't this look really good? What other combination could you ask for when there's whipped cream, chocolate sauce and strawberries?

Fantasy Punch

 Dunk'in Latte

Your basic latte with a deep fried banana to dunk in.

With this much food, you can't possibly expect 2 people to stuff it all in our tummies could you? So yeah, we packed the leftovers and brought it home. I gotta say, that although the food was delicious I don't think I can really eat waffles again anytime soon.  (⌒_⌒; )

Chilling out at #ChurpOut2013 with Churpie @ Setia City Park, Setia Alam

This post is like super late but I was kind of busy with other stuff and being a lazy panda at the same time.  XD  ehehehehe... So I was at #ChurpOut2013 at Setia City Park, Setia Alam and there were lots of great stuff going on. Snapped quite a few pictures here and there.  =)

Follow me on Instagram (@thespeckypanda) too.

This was like a very miniature scale comin-con.  =p  Malaysia's popular comic bloggers were there to 'cartoonise' you in a small cube papercraft doll. Recognise any of them?

Miao and Churpie together at #ChurpOut2013 @ Setia City Mall!

YouTuber Dan Khoo was there. Sifu, where are your sunglasses?  XD

RAGE was also there with their RAGE AGAINST BULLYING campaign where people are encouraged to make a pledge against bullying and to speak out about their experiences of being bullied and how to overcome incidents of bullying.

One of the main reasons of me being there? The Super Junior standees! I probably took so many embarrassing pictures with them. Tee Hee~~ Check them out in my Instagram.
Kyochon is a F&B brand from South Korea with some of the best tasting chicken. If you scroll down to the bottom of this post, you'd see how many boxes I brought back at the end of the day.  XD

You have got to try their chicken when their first outlet opens at 1Utama some time in November this year.

A mountain of Mamee Monsters. Ooooohhh~~

Churpie having some fun too!

There was also the reverse bungee that I really really wanted to try. But I didn't get a chance to. The waiting list was so long. I'll probably just go try the bungee jump in Macau or instead.  XD

There was also the street fair for fashionista everywhere. Unfortunately I'm not one of them. I need someone to teach me some fashion sense. Hmmm...

A Photobooth! WOW PHOTOBOOTH did a great job with all the neat props.

 Oh oh...

Are you a fan of The Hunger Games?! I am! Kenji Chai was there to paint LIVE on a model in a Hunger Games 2 inspired dress designed by Gilbert Ng. Pretty cool right?  =D

WARNING: The longer you stare, the cuter I get.  =P

Check out this boy on the right, total fashionista at such a young age.

 Bubbles Bubbles Bubbles!!

Picture time with some Churp Churp Alphas!

With Jeremy Teo, radio announcer at RedFM.

With Dennis Yin. You've probably seen him in lots of YouTube videos.

With Reuben Kang from JinnyBoyTV!

With Shawn Lee, currently Asia's #1 beatboxer.

And like I said, I brought home lots of Kyochon chicken. Hee Hee~~
