Running Man Sparta Kim Jong Kook Fan Signing @ Paradigm Mall

If you watch the popular Korean variety show Running Man, then you definitely know who Sparta Kook is! Kim Jong Kook was in Malaysia for the first time to hold a showcase and meet his fans.

Kim Jong Kook is a South Korean singer and TV personality with perfect muscles, but also very shy and not used to being displayed in front of others. Kim Jong Kook's active participation in SBS Running Man has made him one of the big names in the Korean Variety Show World. He is also know as 'Sparta Kook' and 'The Commander' and 'Kookie' in Running Man.

I arrived at Paradigm Mall at around 11 something in the morning and there was already a crowd. Guess I should have gone earlier to get a better place.

Live Coverage by Newskaki.com on YouTube.

This is the Autograph Pass for those who topped up RM100 when buying the Showcase tickets.
And the fan signing begins. No hugs allowed. No pictures allowed.. Quite sad lah... But at least can chat a little and shake hands.

Since there was a long line, I decided to take some pictures of fans. These girls were pretty excited.  =)

 Kookie ~ <3 ^^

My turn to shake hands with him! "Hi Amanda! It's so nice to meet you!". The best sentence I heard all day! I know that most people think that Koreans can't speak English but he can definitely hold a proper conversation with you. Finally meeting the 'One Man' and my heart beats so fast. Haha...  ^///^

And then it was over. Aww...  =(

I am so framing this up nicely. It got a little crumpled though cuz I got mobbed by fan girls. While taking a picture with the stage for my background, some of the event crew started giving out the left over posters behind me. And you can guess what happened lah. So scary... I need a body guard the next time I go for events like these.  >_<
The free poster I got without having to push. The event crew stopped giving out the posters when they saw everyone pushing each other to get the posters. After they kept the posters, I went around and asked them politely if I could have one. People should learn how to be polite and not push others. Someone could get hurt. To all you fan girls out there, please don't go overboard and end up hurting someone.
I bought Kim Jong Kook's Limited Edition 2013 Calendar too. I couldn't resist! =P

Bear Paw @ Cheras Leisure Mall

Lots of people kept posting pictures of all the bear paw buns on Facebook and it piqued my interest. It's cute lah... A new outlet opened in May at Cheras Leisure Mall so it was my chance to finally see what all the fuss was about. Setapak is just too far for a lazy panda like me.  =P  But look at the queue and so many people waiting for their order.

Menu looked interesting enough.

It's kind of like Subway. You choose a bun, then you choose your choice of meat, and then the sauce.

It is pretty cute. Guess that's why so many girls kept posting pictures and not guys.
So for the drinks, we ordered Lemon Yakult and Lemon Soda. Totally not used to drinking so much Yakult. Not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing to drink so much.

Cute cute bear pawed buns~ The brown sugar bun is light brown. Brown sugar right? Taste nice and sweet. Tasted nice with chicken and honey mustard.

The milk bun is white but a little too milky for my taste. But the spicy chicken patty is really nice. Only problem with this particular one is that Hamster (that's what I call one of my best buddies) got thousand island sauce. I can't really imagine that sauce with anything other than salad really. Bun is still cute though.
Portion size wise, it was a little small. More like for a snack rather than a meal. Good tea time snack I guess.

There are two branches in KL. Cheras Leisure Mall and G6 Platinum Victoria 128, Jalan Genting Klang.

Check out the Bear Paw Facebook page for latest updates and promotions.  =)

If you've tried Bear Paw before, do leave a comment down below. Or if you want to try it after reading this post then leave a comment too.  =P

Dinner at Oiso Korean Traditional Cuisine and Cafe @ Cheras Leisure Mall

So my dad is really into Korean dramas and after watching the actors eat Korean food as well as seeing the photos from my trip to South Korea, he had the urge to eat Korean food. I'm still crazy about Korean stuff myself. =P  Closest place I could think of was Oiso Korean Traditional Cuisine & Cafe @ Cheras Leisure Mall. I've been here a few times and the food is really nice. Not to mention that the portion and price are reasonable. =)

There were a lot of people so we had to get a table upstairs. Pretty interesting decor. Reminds me of my trip to South Korea. =P
"The best recipe comes from our heart". It's true isn't it?  =)

There are 2 other outlets aside from Cheras Leisure Mall; Bangsar South City and Taylor's University Lake Side.
My dad found this interesting and was practicing on how to pronounce the sentences. LOL. The longer the sentences, the more difficult it is to pronounce them properly. But he had fun trying.
Bi bim bab (RM16.90)
Rice topped with various cooked vegetables such as cucumber, mushrooms, and bean sprouts, plus meat and a fried egg. It's also served with gochujang (red chili paste), which should be mixed thoroughly. You can either choose to have chicken, beef, seafood, or vege. Mostly the typical Korean dish that people should try.
Chicken BBQ (RM18.90)
Grilled chicken meat marinated in gochujang (Korean red chili paste) sauce. If you're the type that's a picky eater and won't try anything new, I suggest ordering this. Since.. well... it's BBQ chicken. Delicious BBQ chicken. Yummy~
Jap chae (RM13.90)
A colourful dish made with glass noodles, fishcake, carrot, and soy sauce seasoning. A must try.
Sundubu Jji gae (RM14.90)
Spicy stew containing soft tofu, seafood, and sometimes egg. It is served piping hot in an earthenware pot. A little spicy but it's one of my favs.
 Egg Roll... yum...
Needless to say, the food was delicious. Just look at this picture. What more proof do you need?
Another thing that my dad has been wanting to try is the Soju (a distilled beverage naive to Korea). I think that Jinro and Lotte are a few of the top selling alcohol brands. Not sure if it's the one he saw in Roof Top Prince but it's nice to try something new.

Definitely one of the places I like to eat Korean food. The food tastes similar to the food in Korea because the owners are from Korea themselves. Not like those other places that claim their Korean restaurants but are opened and cooked by locals.
